SUMMER-FALL 2009 UPDATE:
Houston’s Solar Wind featuring Keith Vivens to play at 2009 Kemah
Jazz Festival at the Boardwalk in Kemah, Texas on Saturday, September 26,
2009 from 1-2 PM. That’s right, you have waited long enough… Solar
Wind will be playing at the prestigious jazz festival on the lovely waterfront
destination. We played at the Kemah Jazz festival a few years back and
were booked another year but the festival got cancelled due to Hurricane
Rita. We are hoping the weather will be kinder this year and are expecting
a great crowd. The lineup for the festival features some incredible performs
and we are humbled to be included. We are planning on making a big splash
with our unique style of fusion. We have not been playing out in public
much be we have been playing a lot and promise this year’s show will be
a treat.
If you have never been to the Kemah Boardwalk, it is a fun place
for the whole family. It is on the scenic waterfront and features rides
including a Ferris wheel, carousel and others. There are also several great
restaurants featuring some of the Gulf Coast’s best seafood. There are
also shops and even a hotel for those who want to really enjoy the festival
which starts Friday evening and ends late in the day Sunday.
The drive to Kemah is about an hour from Houston so leave early
and click here for directions. We recommend you arrive by noon to hear
Woody Witt who is nationally acclaimed and one of Houston’s finest saxophonists.
Also playing Saturday is Dennis Dotson who you may recall played on Solar
Wind’s Second Wind CD.
So we will look forward to seeing you, your whole family and all
your friends at the show. If you have any question, feel free to e-mail
us at fusionlaw@gmail.com. And thanks for your support!
